We believe that when people are aware-of and well-informed about global environmental health issues they cannot help but want to contribute in some way to living more sustainably. Often, people do not know where to start or are not aware of specific issues that might affect them personally or their local community. Fostering Awareness and Action
It is human to desire to be part of something bigger than oneself. When channelled into a win-win endeavor, this innate desire is one our greatest traits, one that manifests our humanity, making us all potential heroes. We can harness this power to cultivate a critical mass of people cooperating to spread a global sustainable lifestyle. All over the globe, people, organizations, businesses and governments are realizing that in order to compete in a global market while simultaneously protecting precious natural resources, we must adapt to an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
Grassroots Greening fosters that growth through education, outreach, cooperation and recognition. We want to provide a centrally-located venue for people to go to learn how to live green and meet, teach and recognize others doing the same. Promote environmental awareness and education.
Environmental Awareness
People who understand the environment, become stewards of the environment. If you provide people with motivation and opportunity to learn about the earths processes, you will have a greener culture. I developed Grassroots Greening as a venue for people who want to become earth stewards by gaining exposure to and knowledge of important environmental topics. People can also use the site as a medium for their own creative expression about earth-friendly topics. Grassroots Greening encourages participation among it's users.
